Has your cat run away? Start looking for the place where the cat disappeared. When a cat goes missing from home, it is usually found within a radius of 300 m from the place it ran away from and usually stays there.
Search for the cat
If the cat is not used to going outside, the cat will often stay near the place where it disappeared. Place food bowls and water in the area where the cat disappeared. It is advisable to put out a blanket or something else in a dry place that smells “home” to the cat, as the cat can pick up scents from a long distance. An indoor cat that is not used to being outside will often become agitated and scared and will hide or run away when approached by a person. Never run after the cat if you see it, but continue feeding it in the same place.
Borrowing a cat trap
Sometimes it can be very helpful to use a cat trap to catch the cat. You can contact us or another cat organization and ask if we have a trap available. The fastest way to reach us is via our social media, either via Facebook or InstagramWe charge a deposit that is refunded when the trap is returned.
